Accident and the morning-after pill"

Recently, I had a small accident where I cut my head open and had to get stitches. This happened a month ago. I just had sexual intercourse and the condom broke. My doctor said I couldn't take any pills. My question is: can I take the morning-after pill and what effects might it have? Thank you.

After a month I would assume your stiches are healed.

When your provider said no pills, is that related to stiches in head or is there another medical reason for no pills?
