Did anyone have a SAVI SCOUT marker placed prior to surgery?

I was diagnosed with DCIS stage 0, grade 3, ER & PR positive in my left breast in 2 areas 3 months ago. My surgery is scheduled for August 20. This Thursday, I'm having a SAVI SCOUT marker placed and wondered if anyone who has had this done can tell me if it's inserted the same way they insert a marker for a standard breast biopsy.....face down, breast positioned in a hole in the table, etc.?
Thanks community!

Hi All. I had the SAVI SCOUT done in two areas in my left breast last week. Yes, I was seated, not laying down like I was during my two biopsies to identify my cancer.. I was given 2 lidocaine injections for each area. Once the lidocaine was in, I felt no pain as the marker was placed, but the shots were uncomfortable. Thankfully, the process was quick and the technician and radiologist were every nice.

Yes, I had a SAVI Scout implanted two days before my surgery in January. Much like your experience, it was brief and painless.
