I have detached vitreous also. My warning sign was a flashing light that seemed to zip past the right side of my right eye.
One thing that I have learned is that when odd things start to happen to your eyes it is better to go to see a specialist immediately. Do not wait. If it is nothing, wonderful. If it isn't, as was my case, I could right now be blind in one eye.

@jbabilonia Welcome to Connect. I have detached vitreous in both eyes, and my opthalmologist said this is kind of normal aging that causes this. He recommended do nothing because eye surgery can come with a risk of infection that could lead to blindness. If I move my eyes, I just wait until it settles and my vision clears. My husband does have a wrinkle in his retina which has been stable since it was discovered, and it is periodically mapped and checked out.

Did you have treatment for your eye condition? I'm curious as to why you would be blind in one eye if you had waited and not seen a specialist?
