Good morning, Holly. ☺️ It helps to have a plan, doesn’t it? Instant stress reducer.
It’s great you’re able to see the oral surgeon next week. That should be an easy peasy appointment to coax that little sliver out. Your mouth will feel better and your tongue won’t be drawn to that spot, exploring all the time.

Teresa has a great suggestion about using the adhesive with dotting the denture in 3 places. It doesn’t have to be all or nothing. That should be enough to anchor the denture without being fully adhered. I absolutely understand your feeling of claustrophobia if you have COPD and fear that you can’t get the denture out quickly needed. But by using even a small amount of adhesive, you’ll have a much better fit with the denture right now, with less fear of it letting go at inopportune moments. 😉

Stay cool! It’s so oppressively hot that I’m losing my cherub-like demeanor in this stuff. LOL. 🥵

Dear Lori,
This sounds like a sensible plan. I appreciate your empathy with my situation. As you well know by now, I tend to overthink things and then I get anxious. I'm working on recognizing the "what If's" and trying to relax.
You are the Best !
Holly
