Anyone know a doctor in Georgia/Florida who treats mold poisoning?

Does anyone know of a doctor in Georgia or Florida that treats toxic mold poisoning with confirmed mycotoxins identified? I have a toxic mold report from an environmental company and mycotoxin reports. Mycotoxins present are: Ochratoxin A and Aflatoxin.
Current symptoms and ailments between myself and 3 additional family members: nonalcoholic fatty liver disease and gallstones (18 year old with no liver gallbladder issue history), slow or stopped GI, requiring stimulation for bowel movement (18 year old), elevated bilirubin levels (17, 18 and 24 year old - no history of issue), acute ‘stacked’ kidney stones, kidney infection and blocked ureter requiring emergency surgery (47 year old - no history of issue), rare hemorrhagic bladder infection with noted growth requiring surgery for ablation and removal/biopsy of growth, brain fog, fatigue, general malaise, chronic headaches, exhaustion, joint pain, sporadic inflammation and neuropathy, echogenic liver, nodules in right and left lungs (less than 5mm) but confirmed not present with Ct scan, a month before they started showing up). It would be great if Mayo-Jax had a doctor that could manage treatment for toxic mold poisoning but a doctor anywhere that doesn’t want to simply administer ‘allergy shots would be incredible! Thanks for any information!!

Thank you for the clarification and additional details and of course your time! Our home was gutted completely in 2022. All floors, all walls, all cabinets and counter tops were torn out and disposed of. All that’s left are the basic bones, ie: subfloor, rafters, frame, roof. When the tree landed it penetrated the roof and internally came into two bedrooms and two bathrooms (through the ceiling). We had indoor water features basically. There are parts of the home that cannot be remediated or removed without deconstructing the outer brick layer. Unfortunately, this is where we were left stranded. We have not lived or spent any time in our home since October of 22. Remediation equipment, fans, ozone, chemical treatment application, etc were put in place in November for a number of days for the initial remediation but the final remediation and re-test has never been completed because of the damaged parts that are difficult to replace without tearing down and starting over. Most unfortunate, was that the toxic mold test confirmation, completed by an environmental company, of the top 3 toxic molds being found in 100% of the airspace was not shared with the textile/restoration company so our personal ‘emergency’ belongings weren’t treated with toxic mold protocol, but only treated with water damage, mold/mildew protocol. These items were brought back to us in November ‘22 and I didn’t uncover that they weren’t treated until the end of December of ‘22. So - we did bring some of these items back into our ‘clean/clear of toxic mold living space’. The headaches, brain fog, lethargy, gastric issues, kidney issues, bladder issues, blood pressure issues, constant upper respiratory infection issues and general aches and pains continued. It did take a little while to stitch all the issues together and understand the common denominator for the acute onset of these issues was our exposure. Now, to get the right medical doctor to be willing to recognize this and then have the experience to treat properly for the long road to recovery has been insanely difficult and so far impossible. I’m not giving up but this devastating experience has not only made us very sick, but destroyed us financially. It is not possible to pay the functional medicine membership fees to gain access to the support or treatment for a family of 5. Further, what guarantee do I have that I have picked the correct ‘membership’ for recovery detox treatment in exchange for $10k-$20k? If I make the wrong choice then I have no way to make sure I get my children treated and recovered/restored. It’s a consistent rock and a hard place nightmare. We moved out of the replacement RV we purchased to move out of the contaminated home because I believe the professionals that should have been ensuring proper protocols were followed, did not do their part and the new temporary home is now contaminated. When I walk into the RV, I begin experiencing sensitivity symptoms and adverse affects within 5-10 minutes. A terrible several chapters in my prescious family’s journey, for sure. Now that my two youngest have general blood tests pointing to organ injury and possible permanent damage, I simply must find the right medical resource to accept our exposure and be capable of devising a recovery treatment plan. That is a little deeper dive into what happened and how we have gotten to where we are today. Of course this is an incredibly abbreviated version, but I’m currently focusing on finding the right medical doctor to ensure my children don’t have to suffer with permanent damage to their bodies and get them back on the road to feeling better.

Have you contacted the Toxicology Department At Emory Medical School?

I once posted on this website about there is only one Mayo clinic And that was in Minnesota. I was told by someone monitoring this website and in the category of higher up folks that manage this website was wrong. In my case I had GCA and I needed a pet scan and a Doctor Who could read it. It could not happen in Jacksonville or Arizona. This was back in 2017 2015. Not sure. So I repeat, there was only one Mayo clinic and lending their name to other hospitals not the same thing. This proves my point and we are now in 2024. I wish I could be of help to you. This entire sickness sounds awful and I am aware of how dangerous mold is. I wish you well.

I will be interested to know what you find out. In the fall of 22, our hvac system was found with mold along with areas in the basement. It’s been a nightmare as I have been sick for 6 years with no explanation or treatment. Western medicine has been of no help… the most help I have received was from holistic/functional practitioners which of course is not covered by insurance. It’s frustrating and scary to be going through this. My prayers are with you and your family.

None of my business but if you are planning on litigating it’s my understanding that the State of Fl does not consider naturalpathic (sp?) drs to be physicians.

My own serious mold allergies are managed by a board certified allergist/immunologist in a highly reputable medical institution

@becsbuddy - thanks for the support!! A very large double trunked oak tree fell through our home during Father’s Day weekend 2022. Such an incredible amount of water flowed inside our house. Symptoms and issues began in less than a month and progressively got worse. It’s been very difficult to find medical help and support in this area of mold, mycotoxins I know we need medical support to properly and completely detox so we can begin to heal and recover. Anyone I’ve found so far in GA has been from a homeopathic approach.

@rhutch23 you’ve certainly gotten some useful information! There is a actual Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. I have someone looking for it right now. If I were at home there’d be no problem, but we’re at our son’s house in Crested Butte, CO. as soon as I have the number, I’ll send it to you!
The link to the admissions dept. is https://mayocl.in/1mtmR63

@becsbuddy a number to a Mayo Jax Clinic would be awesome. @sueinmn suggested Emory Toxicology. Sue, I did get hopeful because Emory, partnering with Grady, has an outpatient clinic that was willing to schedule appointments for both my kids, but they needed a ‘diagnosis’ of ‘toxic’….I lost the ‘wind in my sails’ and explained I was coming to them for an assessment, diagnosis and treatment plan. I’m sure it’s a snafu in their scheduling software design because I’m not sure how I would have a diagnosis without seeing someone that can test, identify and diagnose. I believe since it is designed to support people who are working in environments where they were exposed to something hazardous (truly environmental, or chemical). Their system isn’t designed to accommodate a ‘Mom’ calling in with an appointment request. So,,,I’ll keep digging!

@rhutch03, the link @becsbuddy provided includes the phone number to Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida

You can call the Central Appointment Office at 904-953-0853

Sometimes it's just easier talking to someone. If you call between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern time Monday through Friday, you can talk with a coordinator.

i was recently looking at the list of EXCLUDED from ins coverage health conditions on the Medicare list and toxic environmental testing appeared to be excluded. i have had excellent COVERED care from my Cleveland Clinic allergist/immunologist for allergic and immunological reactions. All the “toxicity” drs i was told about were functional and none took insurance. It’s important to separate out the goal of ameliorating health and building a strong case for litigation. They are not always synonymous
