So sorry to hear you’re going through this. My mother is 90 and has the exact same symptoms, she’s lightheaded and sick to her stomach 24/7, seems to get worse over night, mornings are worse. She feels like she’s dying, but after several trips to the ER, her vitals are always good. She’s always been a fit, energetic woman, now she can hardly get off the couch. Her cardiologist said it’s not her heart, she had an endoscopy and they found nothing. Her doctors recently put her on Lexapro thinking it may be anxiety, it’s been over a month and the symptoms seem to be getting worse. Some are saying she could have long Covid, someone please give us some good advice, need it quickly

Hello @gjp1 and welcome to Mayo Connect. I appreciate your interest in helping your mom with this uncomfortable set of symptoms. On Connect we are not medical professionals, so we can't really give medical advice, but we can share our experiences.

From your post, it sounds as if she is really struggling with nausea and lightheadedness as her main symptoms. Is my understanding correct? While you have mentioned her seeing a lot of different specialists, I'm wondering if she has been seen by an ENT? Often inner ear problems can result in dizziness and nausea and make it difficult to function. Has she been to an ENT?

There are wonderful therapies for vertigo problems including Vestibular Therapy which can be most helpful in combatting these symptoms. While this type of therapy does not cure vertigo, it can certainly lessen the symptoms and make life a bit easier. Has your mom been referred for vestibular therapy?

I look forward to hearing from you again as you seek answers for your mom. Will you post with any other questions or updates?
