Has anyone had the surgical procedure called The Dellon procedure?
20 + years , spending the last two trying to diagnose. I found a podiatrist that listened and touched my feet and legs. He performs the Dellon procedure on his neuropathy patients. Anyone know of it or had the procedure done?

I am scheduled next week (left foot/leg) for a Dellon triple nerve release. It's very similar to carpal tunnel in your wrists. I have had "idiopathic' neuropathy for over 20 years, and many doctors/specialists. Most of the last three years of the research have been mine as my doctors are no longer interested in the problem. I found a great group of doctors here (Foot & Ankle) who seem to care. I will keep you posted on positive and negative results.
Patricia, I’ll be very interested to hear your results, as my husband has had Idiopathic SFN for 8 years and we’ve tried all routes of relief for the pain in lower left leg/foot. What group of Dr’s are you working with? As I’ll welcome learning more about their practice. Thank you and best of luck!
After every imaginable and referred doctors - I went back to square 1 - podiatry. I have seen neurologist, vascular doctor, orthopedic, heart - all diagnosed as idiopathic neuropathy and not really interested or committed to a patient. I use a lot of homeopathic now but in researching discovered this surgery and found a local doctor that performs it. Duh!

I will report my results as it is a 4-8 week recovery. If successful I will have right leg done.
Hello @patriciaschulz1950 - I combined your new discussion on the Dellon procedure with your older discussion on the same topic, "Has Anyone had the Surgical Procedure Called the Dellon Procedure?" - https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/has-anyone-had-the-surgical-procedure-called-the-dellon-procedure/ - so members you met previously could see that you are going ahead with this procedure.

Nerve decompression and diabetic neuropathy | Lower ...
Triple nerve decompression surgery, also known as Dellon Triple Nerve Decompression surgery, is an outpatient procedure that decompresses nerves in the arm or leg to restore function and reduce pain. The surgery is often used to treat painful diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN) in the lower extremities, which can be resistant to conventional medications. The surgery involves making three small incisions and decompressing the posterior tibial nerves, common peroneal nerves, and deep peroneal nerves. The goal is to release compressed nerves and improve blood flow, which can help reduce pain, restore sensation, and reduce the risk of amputation.
Is it only for diabetic PN?
It is NOT. I have idiopathic neuropathy- or that’s what all the specialty physicians said. I am not diabetic
