I happened to read the benefits of Serrapeptase for post lung surgery recovery. I will have a wedge or segment or lobe resection ( not sure yet) in RUL this year so I am checking relevant information and preparing for it.

First it helps thin mucus esp for those who experienced difficulty breathing or coughing after surgery and promote mucus Expectoration.

Second, it helps relieve pain, swelling and help fight with infection

Third, it helps reduce blood clot , which is also a common side effect after surgery. But if you are taking blood thinner, be careful as it may double the effects.

In addition, any other pre-surgery & post surgery care are highly welcomed and appreciated.

Hello @helen1000, I hadn't heard of this or used it. Here's a link to another discussion that may be helpful:

Any change in supplements or medications can impact our delicate systems, hopefully for the better. Have you consulted with your doctor about it?
