Gut health

There was a posting related to gut health and it got me thinking:
Has anyone had issues with diarrhea/loose stools who has bronchiectasis/MAC? Could this be related?
Taking Sunfiber and this is helping. Anyone else?

I find I am having mild Diarrhea but it’s related to beginning the big 3. I take them at nite and in AM I take high grade probiotics. I also have a yummy coconut source of probiotics called Cocojune. It’s delicious if u like coconut and no sugar but I add stevia

I have had that probelm diarrhea, for many years...presumed to be IBS...but who knows...maybe something to do with Bx, which I have also had for many years.

I have both. Been told they are not related but I believe they are in some way related (at least for me).

I have paid attention to what food I eat as I am intolerant to certain food. That stops diahera. I am taking Seed DS01 daily dose as a supplement and that is a type of high grade probiotics which does not give me any bloating , gas or stomach discomfort.

I take culturella and florastil on alternating days on an empty stomach with NAC and mucinex. So far so good despite taking MAC antibiotics. Probiotics generally are a bit pricy so I buy culturella at costco(cheaper and 80 pieces) and flora still comes with a coupon.

You may want to review MAC medication side effects. I had to rush to the washroom at the theatre.

Read up on the FODMAP diet. It made a lot of difference to me.
If I avoid the "bad" foods, I don't have any problems.

I am just the opposite
Being on Ethambutol +Azithromycin for 5 weeks, my gut motility slowed and needed to rely on suppositories 3- 4 x a week. It has made my IBS worse because I was also getting more abdominal cramping.
Wanted to stop tx but pulmonologist agreed to taking a week off. Will restart drugs tomorrow after meeting with ID.
