Meningioma: Do you have a neurologist that you're very happy with?

Hello does anyone have a neurologist that you are very happy with. I think mine has given up and wants to send me to palliative care. I have a meningioma that is pressing on the trigeminal nerve.

Yes. I had Gamma Knife at University of Penna. this past March. I was fortunate enough to live in the area. I would seek out a good teaching hospital. This is something that I would never let a local hospital to take care of. I have my 6 month check up in September. 🤞🏻. It was amazing, I went in the morning and I was home by the afternoon! Good luck.

@boomarang @cyndymc indicated that location is not an issue. She will travel to another location in the U.S.

TO cyndyme, I Have Encephalitis of the Frontal Lobe. Causing Seizures periodically. Sorry, I did not realize your condition. I will still stand by my recommendation of my Neurologist. Prior to Scripps he was at UCSD Hospital. He & I believe one of the best. You may want to consider UCSD for your condition. That was my first introduction to him. I do not think I would have survived without his medical knowledge & expertise & never gave up. It is unknown to me why he left UCSD & went to Scripps. It worked out well for me because I had insurance to cover Scripps at that time. Unfortunately, I no longer have that insurance. His services are no longer available to me. I am very sad & concerned I am no longer under his care. He was my rock for 11 years. My life was in his hands at all times. I wish you the very best. Prayers your way. Regards , Boomarang
