Comments about CBD and/or THC for neuropathy pain and paresthesia?

Posted by amkie @amkie, May 25 10:09am

Anyone tried CBD topically or THC gummies or anything on that order for the burning radiating pain of neuropathy? Also has anyone had a neurologist suggest this as a potential therapy? I will ask my own neurologist but wanted some broader input in the meantime. Success anyone? My family thinks this should be considered. I have tried various topical and oral prescribed medications with little success so far. Thanks for any comments.

I used 10 mgs thc. My son did them individually edibles. The cbd was over 10 mgs. Sometimes, I had to use higher thc.I would use 15 mgs thc. My son got a college degree from somewhere on marijuana to work growing and dispensing. The program cost him over 10,000 dollars. He picked them out for me.

I recommend a salve which has CBD and THC, I find that the combination helps with the pain.

So does it help or do you just stay high all the time, not saying that’s a bad thing!

If you qualify in Pennsylvania, you can obtain a medical card. It has taken me many years to figure out what strength works without any side effects. Seriously, I do NOT need to get high in my 80's. I want pain relief, and it takes a lot of trial and error to figure it out. Best of luck...but it is worth the effort!

I have moderate disc bulge T2-3, T11-12, L3-4, L4-5, Spinal Stenosis. My back is always on fire and painful especially my oblique muscles. Have tried every non opiod pain killer known to man. They all have serious side effects for me but I rely on Gabapentin 300mg at night. Moderate help. I tried CBD gummy bears but no help.

I so agree with fala. I am on medical cannabis 3 yrs but I everyone on it has to try several forms of it before they find which one best helps their pain without constipation, sleepiness or dizziness in daytime. There is one that is mostly THC with a little CBD. I squirt out the amt of 1/2 grain of rice onto the end of a toothpick and put it under my tongue about two min. a serum in a syringe just the right It’s that powerful. Taking too much THC (ppl in pain do it accidentally) is extremely unpleasant (heart rate goes up some and the body may jerk some) and they make sure it doesn’t happen again. If it does, taking a little CBD tames the THC. There are gummies, drops, chocolate, cookies, serum, pre-rolls, rechargeable inhalers and vaping devices. I have severe pain and wouldn’t be alive today if not for medical cannabis.

Truthfully I am a control freak. I don’t like the feeling of floating. I was over dosed on ketamine and it cause hallucinations and I felt like I was floating. I don’t like that feeling. My son does the thc/cbd. He gives me enough to sleep without waking up not enough to make me high.
