airway inflamtion and steriods
Hi everyone,
People who have asthma often use steroids to ease the inflamed airways and asthma symptoms.
I am wondering what people who have bronchiectasis but without asthma do if their airways are inflamed? Do their airways get inflamed often even without asthma?
Thanks!
Ling

Good luck, Sue, with your surgeries and best wishes for a speedy recovery.
Hi, narelled23,
Someone I know mentioned to take a puff of Albuterol before taking her walk. I have never tried it. Do you take steroids daily? I was thinking that if turmeric has helped my airways. There are lots of positive research articles about Tumeric. It may give you a noticeable effect.
Take care!

I haven't taken anything for asthma for some years...but wondering if it would help to do something. I am not generally aware of asthma giving me any trouble...a dry cough with cold air/talking. Lung issues usually appear Bx.
Will continue with the turmeric...and as usual attempt to do more cardio.
I hope you can find a way to calm your airways.
Sue best of luck on your surgeries and a short prayer for the success of the surgeries too.
I have some asthma, not much of an obstruction and I am still on MAC antibiotics that’s why I was reluctant to take steroids- Budesonide. My immunologist suggested an older anti inflammatory medicine crinoline inhalation inhalation. I asked dr Griffith at NJ and he said I could take it. I also talked with my pulmonologist and she said she forgot it is still available but it’s excellent. So I nebulize 4 ml of it twice a day and so far it works for me. No tight chest and no anxiety which I had using Budesonide. The good thing if it is not enough. I have always Budesonide on the shelf.
It’s cromolyn sodium ( again my iPhone spelling for me)
