Hi
Thanks for your feedback.
The reason why I'm enquiring here is that my doctor says there's no precedent she knows of with the issues I'm having as "people that have cml don't tend to keep training like you do, so there's no way of knowing,"
While I know the tasigna has muscle and joint pain side effects according to Novartis, (this is also an issue I have) there is no mention in side effects or any other place I can find, about high lactate (the muscle burn) when training

I have back issues etc. But was doing well, since starting tasigna 300mg morning and 150 mg evening. My muscle pain and joint pain have become worse. I was off the medication for 2 weeks due to having shoulder surgery, i was pain free ,started back on medication, a d the pain is back, i went to the neurosurgeon today he said my hardware in my back looks good, he feels the pain I am experiencing is a side effect of the medication, heat seems to help me.

How could DR possible surmise that people with CML don’t tend to keep training. Exercise, activity, movement, etc. are the best things anybody can do to keep their bodies healthy to fight diseases Especially cancers of any kind! I’ve had CML 15 years, have been on Tasigna for 5. At first some mild pain was felt in the large bone joints (hips especially.) for a while but it subsided after a few months. I am not a physician, far from it, but I think the joint pain is from the blood inside the bones, not necessarily tendons or muscle per se. Also as anyone that trains knows warm up and technique is essential otherwise it’s super easy (especially if you are ‘up there’ in age) to screw up tendons/muscles
