Lingering Stiffness Left Thigh

I find that when tapering, I have this lingering stiffness remaining in only my left thigh. All other stiffness responds to my 1-1/2 mg. Medrol. When getting in my recliner, I have to lift leg. Also a bit of a problem getting in and out of car. This leads me to think that if this one area is non responsive that this may linger on after I am totally weaned. Now I could up the dose to 2 mg and the stiffness will lessen but wonder if that is what should be done if the rest of my body is responsive? I do have a rheumatologist appointment tomorrow and will see what he has to say. What are your thoughts?

PMR left me with bilateral Greater Trochanter Pain Syndrome. Based on my experience my rheumy does not try to peel the onion and determine the nature and root cause of individual pains. She simply says it's PMR pain and leaves it there. I have learned to go after the pains separately. Since then I have needed surgery to remove abdominal tumors, surgery for torn meniscus, pain management treatments for Trochanter pain, pain management treatment for cervical degenerative disk disease, aspiration of inflammation in shoulder, plus a few more miscellaneous issues. Please keep yourself grounded in knowing your body better than anyone else and don't stop until you believe what they are telling you.

I have lingering stiffness in my left thigh. In my case I believe it is separate from the PMR. I am trying to address it with stretching to improve the range of motion in my legs. They both became very stiff before I was diagnosed, but also had issues that predated my illness (I think).

Pilates. I had right hip stiffness and they can work to rebalance the body. Sometimes the stiffness and weakness is more pronounced on one side and it multiplies.

Ask if physical therapy may help? I know aqua therapy also should help?
