ADVISE testing

Has anyone had this and did they find it helpful for diagnosis. My Rheumatologist wasn't for it for some reason but I'm seeing a new one tomorrow and wonder if I should push for it.

I had it done. Positive. They don’t push because insurance doesn’t like to cover it was my understanding.

wonder how much it would be if I just paid for it myself?

@lynnkaren @hisdreamweaver - what is ADVISE testing?

It's a blood test that can tell you what specific ai disease you have and is helpful with Lupus. I find doctors not wanting to order it though.

@hisdreamweaver - thanks! I had never heard of this before!

I had the test twice and my newest rheumatologist was able to finalize my SLE and rheumatoid arthritis diagnosis. Definitely think it’s worthwhile

Just saw 2nd Rheumatologist and she said it's not worth it. Insurance doesn't cover it and you need to go to a special lab for it and with all the testing I already had(25 tests) it covers the same things? Guess if I keep not getting answers I could see how much it would cost on my own.
