Maybe Metamucil might help. A nurse once told me "All of stomach Dr patients that take Metamucil never have issues"

@jimb8 I was doing great with two tablespoonsful of generic Metamucil - was regular as clockwork till I had a colonoscopy in April this year, and now I am constipated even though I havenāt changed my dosage. 🤷🏼♀️ I am hesitant to take any laxatives because they are habit forming for the bowel.
Hi there! I do think that even though colonoscopies are needed and beneficial, they can mess up our gut microbiome some. I would recommend taking magnesium citrate (powder) or magnesium glycinate in the evening to help with constipation. In addition I would increase your fiber intake slowly: I find that all of the Ezekiel breads are excellent and high fiber, eat lots of fruit and fresh veggies/saladsā¦drink lots of water and also, add some electrolytes to your water and make sure youāre getting enough iodine to help support your thyroid and keep your metabolism going. Exercise is key tooā¦walk 10 minutes after a large meal and try and walk at least 30 minutes a day and build your muscle mass as well. Eat foods to help increase your gut microbiome diversity like cabbage, broccoli, lots of veggies, low sugar fruits: berries are the best! If you can eat oatmeal, great! Choose organic, gluten free steel cutā¦and make sure to make it the day before and then put it in frig overnightā¦that will help create more resistant starch in the oats or beans too and it wonāt spike your blood glucose as much. Also, cut out processed foods, but if needed Siete chips are grain free, high in fiberā¦choose lower glycemic foods and fruitsā¦berries are the best! Eat a little dark chocolate each day (with some almonds and or walnuts)ā¦exercise, meditate, lower stress and my last tips are to do gentle massage on your belly and lower stomachā¦this helps greatly with digestion speed, also walk after every meal. Hope this helps!!! Blessings to you!!
Ps: Start a gratitude journal as well and do gentle massage to all lymph nodes when you first wake up, this helps to activate your metabolism, also long stretches and dry brush massaging helps keep the body going!!! But lowering stress is key!!!
Have you guys tried to boil the mixed vegetables 30 mins , blend them, then eat one cup in the morning and one cup in the evening? It helps constipation a lot. My husband used to have constipation but now he refused to eat the vegetables juice because that caused bowl movement.
Sending you love and prayers🙏🏻😇. My heart goes out to you, I know this message wonāt cure your āissuesā but I want to just let you know, youāre not alone🤗🫶🏻🩷🩷.

Gundryās protocol and teachings are based on His experience, research and body. Most of his research is cross referenced and founded to be true.
REMEMBER: Practitioners are āpracticing medicineā. They can use their personal experiences to enhance their work, HOWEVER, every human, although Human and similar, has a different chemistry and reaction to Everything. What works for One, may have a very negative response to another. Lectin is a real thing, nature has a way of disposing of toxic things. Humans tend to trust Medicine too much and donāt listen to their bodies.
Humans are still learning and discovering how the human body works.
We are unique works of art!
Unfortunately, we can uniquely suffer.
As with All things in life, Moderation, Patience and Grace (including for yourself) are keys to healthier living.
One thing Iāve found to be very helpful is an Allergy and Intolerance Test. Can usually find on āGroupon or Living Social appā as well as āAmazonā for discounted prices. Getting an Advanced Sensitivity test, based on hair dna can provide a great guide and place to start. Then look at programs like Gundry, KETOā¦.to adapt them to your specific needs.
āAdvanced Food Intolerance Labsā has an Amazing product. There are other companies that also offer great detailed reports. The more tested, the more of a guide youāll have to understanding your own chemistry.

āLectin is a real thingā true enough, but isn't it strange Gundry, the Guru Of Greed who doesn't explain that the mainstay diet of the healthiest, longest-living people on the planet eat many foods rich in lectins, yet he suggests not eating these and other highly nutritious foods but instead substituting one of his many supplements that supposedly contain the nutrients like those found in whole grains and legumes.
Soaking beans is going to get rid of most of them anyway. Cooking should take care of the rest. I guess mentioning that slipped his mind. Or maybe not, as it would likely cut into his bottom line from decreased sales of his dozen or so supplements specifically for this, so-called problem.
Here is an article from the Mayo Clinic,

Here is what healed me of all lower GI problems: Get pre-cut butternut squash and place in a skillet with a tight lid or a Dutch oven plus two tablespoons of water. Secure lid and heat on low until you can smell the squash; do not lift lid until you can smell it. It should be completely soft and thus done at this time. Eat with a little butter or vegan substitute with salt and pepper to taste. This is guaranteed to clean you out 🧹. Other options are any of the cruciferous vegetables (cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, red or green cabbage, etc.), asparagus, and green or French beans. With the cabbage, substitute apple juice or apple cider vinegar for the water. No sugar! Once you start eating fresh vegetables daily prepared in this way (always on stovetop with a lid and unopened until the foodās fragrance is emanating), your gut will heal. This type of cooking is one of the staples of macrobiotics, by the way. Best wishes for good health. 🙏🏻
@redmondav
I'm just curious why this type of cooking is better or more effective. what's the science behind it?
Thank you,
Jake.
Hi, Jake. The science behind macrobiotics in general has much to do with acid-base balance. I recommend the writings of George Ohsawa if you wish to go into greater depth. As for why braising (this cooking method) is effective from a scientific point of view, Iām sure there are reasons on which Iām not fully versed, but my gut feeling (no pun) is that it infuses just enough water into the vegetables to maximize softness without diluting their nutrients, which also maximizes flavor, thus making them a delicacy the consumption of which is a pure pleasure. I just know that they work wonders for me in terms of results. Also, donāt worry if they produce āfloaters,ā as this is natural once your gut is clean.
