Be hopeful, the treatments now are quite effective. Is it wet AMD or dry AMD? Dry AMD is from what I understand better to have. I have wet AMD in both eyes and have had many eye injections and I was diagnosed 3 years ago. Actually 3 and 1/2 years ago now and I am now only getting injections a couple times a year instead of every 4 or 5 weeks.
I also have glaucoma. I was terribly nearsighted before I had my cataract surgery. I had serious side effects of my cataract surgery and had to have other surgeries to fix what they did on the first one and I still test out at 20/25 with my glasses on.
I am 70 years old.
