I have searched the various treatments for peripheral neuropathy until I’m blue in the face and I am no nearer selecting one. The only one that seems to show promise is R-ALA and Benfotiamine. Unfortunately when I tried them I got an upset stomach so I’ve stopped taking them. The clinical trials I’ve seen seem to show that R-ALA and Benfotiamine are the only supplements that work. I’m completely baffled. I took a relatively low dose I.e. 200mg R-ALA and 300mg Benfotiamine. Any advice please. John

If you are taking the supplements on an empty stomach that might make it more likely to cause nausea. Might be worth trying to take a bite of a banana or other food when you take the supplements to see if it helps with the nausea.

I have just started taking ALA 600 mg capsules twice daily - after food - so no no upset stomach. I am hoping this will help with the internal vibrations I’ve had for last 6 months. My doctor also gave script for endep 10mg 2 at night before bed. Early days
