@betsy01

I have googled “Hereditary Hemochromatosis a Metabolic Disorder?” The answer: Hereditary Hemochromatosis is a genetic metabolic disorder.

Next, I googled: “Can Hereditary Hemochromatosis (Metabolic Disorder) help to increase triglyceride levels?” Yes it can, a study done says that almost a third of people with Hereditary Hemochromatosis have Hyperglyceridemia (HTG).

I just asked my GI doctor at Mayo and gis answer: Hereditary Hemochromatosis has no connection to high triglycerides?????

Hi @betsy01, Welcome to Connect. Would I be correct in assuming you’ve been diagnosed with Hereditary Hemochromatoisis? This is a metabolic disorder where iron can accumulate in the organs over a period of time causing damage. Were you experiencing symptoms that led to your diagnosis? How are you being for the condition?
