Update on my Grand Attack shoes that I am using for pool exercising. (Note: I have arthritis and genetic bunions, not neuropathy). I love the toe spread and can wear these in the deep water for water exercising, but need more shoe under foot in the shallow end. At present, I switch to my Columbia water shoes that fit like a sneaker, but I have cut the fabric off the front so my toes can spread out. It's ugly, but these aren't wide enough for my toes anymore, and it's my own pool so I don't care about how they look, and the soles are good for the impact.
I still wear my Birkenstock Arizona soft footbed sandals the most. Alternate is Strive sandal. Strive (strivefootwear.com) is an orthopedic brand from the UK that is now also in the US. I got them at a Happy Feet + store. Very comfortable padding over good arch support, nice thin adjustable leather straps. I still love my HOKA Bondi 8 sneakers but when our summer temps increased, my feet starting swelling as I walked, and the problematic crowded toes on the right foot complained. So I am alternating walking in either the Birks or now the Strive
Many people here have mentioned Orthofeet shoes and sandals and I am considering them as they offer a 2E which my toes seem to need. Can anyone recommend a specific model? I am looking at the hands free sneakers, but also sandals. Great trial and return policy. Any suggestions?

I am a board-certified surgeon and I’m aware of all the scams that various medical related companies make. I started wearing barefoot shoes after many tries to relieve my nightly neuropathy. I wore barefoot shoes all day long for two days, especially before bedtime with no exaggeration. Neuropathy was gone in two days and has not recurred in over a month. I have no financial interest in barefoot shoes. I am simply a physician who has found a solution to an annoying untreatable symptom.
