I had to discontinue any shoe other than flat or slight arch support soft tennis shoes. Saucony brand . With diabetic, loose fitting socks from Walmart. The only way I am able to leave the house for short outings like grocery shopping, is to use Lidocaine cream all over the foot and ankle. It helps for hours. I have to apply it a couple times daily. Soaking feet in Epsom salts every night helps. Neuropathy truly sucks!

Charlie girl, I have had 2 bunion surgeries. First one left me with nerve damage , neuropathy and burning mouth syndrome. Second one 18 months ago has made every toe bending left metatarsal and little toe so sore can't wear but a pair of sneakers with the side cut out, suggestion of my foot Dr her fix for the surgery issue she created. Lots of difficulty walking. Use a cane for support. My 13 yr old Shih Tzu has Cushings disease and a spine injury. This is sad watching.
