Does anyone suffer with prisms leading to double. Vision?

Have prisms in both eyes which cause double vision. Get stronger prisms every year which make my lenses thicker. Concerning as it never seems to stabilize.
Anyone else have same issue?

When I was diagnosed with myasthenia gravis the first muscles it impacted was my eyes with verticle double vision. I had to have prisms in my glasses, I would tell my eye doctor if I had to have any more prisms I was going to need a strap around my head to hold my glasses on. Luckily with the help of immunosuppressants I went into remission. I wish you luck I know how frustrating they are. Why r your eyes changing yearly? What is the underlying cause?

My eyes are my major health frustration. I’ve ended up with double vision from retina cyst surgery recovery mishap in setting up sleep position (right eye) & prisms get stronger yearly. Frustrating as one pair of glasses no longer works. Also, am told I have cataract surgery that is needed on left eye & just diagnosed with early stage of glaucoma in that eye plus have another issue in that left eye. Do not want surgery because I feel that eye is my best eye & am told the opposite. I don’t like the artificial lense in my right eye. I need to find a doctor who has patience & understands the difficulties I have during the vision testing. My eyes don’t adjust at the rate they flip the lenses & want to know which one is better. I was told by my ophthalmologist in my previous state that a doctor that deals with cross eyedness in children could possibly help. Until I feel comfortable with what is recommended, I am not going forward with any surgery.

Prisms may be astigmatism.

Astigmatism causes that at times for me.
