Paranoia is schizophrenic

One of my psychiatrists once tried to give me Seroquel and the side effects were bad. I wonder why he prescribed it

All meds have side effects. Hopefully the prescribing provider discusses these with the patient to determine if the benefits will outweigh the risks. The patient should always ask questions and get information about all the options before beginning a treatment. Could you tell your provider about the bad side effects and ask why it was prescribed?

I take Abilify 20mg once a day. I was recently assigned to a psychologist also. She happens to be Oriental in race and she is from Canada residing here in Miami. She states that she wants to treat me because I am a very 'kind' person and that I can be easily hurt by others who don't understand that kind of behaviour. Is that attitude of 'kindness' a psychiatric ailment?

@34lmn57fgh Hearing a therapist say those words to me I would be a bit surprised. It doesn’t sound like a therapeutic model to begin to work from and I’d be suspicious until you receive some reassurance that she’s helping you. You don’t say why your seeing a therapist and we have little else to go by.

@jeyo1979 there is an extended release capsule available that provides drug release throughout a 24 hour period. Are you wishing to take this during the day instead of at night? There is no auto release system for this medication.
