Hello, I was diagnosed with HCL in 2015. I'm thinking it's the Rituximab. I was given it in my 2nd round of chemo and for some reason I started convulsing in the chair. I had a high fever for the rest of the week, so bad I took myself to emerge and was admitted.
Suffered nerve damage that took a year to correct. But thank god it did as I'm back to playing hockey and golf.
No one will say it was that chemo but it a strange coincidence. My oncologist says it can lengthen time between treatments, so I'll have a tough decision the next time chemo is called for. I feel lucky to get HCL as it can be managed unlike some other cancers.

Thanks Steve for sharing your experience. Much appreciated!

Hopefully this chill or fever will resolve after sometime as she had all her doses taken since a week and anticipate that no fever will come back.
Thanks,
