Suspicious Nodule

They did a ct scan and found something in my lung. This is what the report says, “suspicious spiculated, non calcified, non cavitating pulmonary nodule in the posterior right pulmonary apex measuring 1.4x1.2x1cm.
I saw a pulmonary doctor yesterday and he is having me get a PT scan from my scull to mid thigh and a PFT. Now they have also scheduled me for a cardiac stress test. I asked the nurse why they are ordering the additional test besides the PET scan and her response was he orders these before he operates on a patient. I’m trying to not read between the lines but also trying to be prepared.

I have 2 spiculated nodules on both upper lobes. They both lit up on a PET scan. I had a biopsy on Wednesday and the only thing I have heard is from “my chart”.
Rare (1 +) Gram positive cocci in pairs and chains.
Has anyone else seen this ? What does this mean ? Thanks in advance.

Hi @cinders59, Of course your doctor will need to interpret the results, but for now, I would be pleased that it doesn't say adenocarcinoma or some other cancerous terms. Most lung nodules are not cancer. Infections or inflammation will show on a PET scan.
