CBD oil for pain
After trying opiates, and lyrica, and mostly just suffering I tried sublingual CBD which is from the marijuana plant, but has no THC in it, you don't get high. It was very very effective. Not only did it reduce my pain at least 75%, it has a calming effect on the anxiety produced in those of us with chronic pain by the fact we have it. I do recommend it.... Be sure it is from a reliable source. You don't need to smoke anything or get high.

I'm sorry there are errors in the post above that I made and I can't seem to edit this one. Where I said split I meant splint. I hope you can understand it I also posted similar information twice before.
I can’t smoke it, I have a similar reaction but add to it epilepsy. Apparently I am one of the unlucky ones where it doesn’t help with seizures. Now it’s also important to remember that a first timer probably doesn’t require much more than one puff! Don’t smoke the whole thing! It is also important to look for a strain that isn’t too high in thc. Ultimately the CBD shows the most promise for pain, but it seems to require at least some thc to work synergistically. If you are using oil or gummies, you need to use it regularly to ease pain. It needs to sort of build up in your system. For quick relief of acute pain, smoke or vape it. Luckily pot lotion doesn’t bother me, nor do gummies. I make my own of both. The lotion is a godsend.
I've used the local dispensaries for the best CBD. They really pay attention to the quality and lab testing of the product so you get what you are paying for. I like the 1:1 THC/CBD, but I buy them separately and mix my own. Indica and Sativa varieties are important - so your dispensary should be able to discuss that. I use it sublingually, but if I need more, I have edibles. Friends who have used it for pain - CBD - say you need to take it regularly at the same time for about two weeks to see effects. It takes a bit of experimentation to find the right amount, but 5 mg is where to start. Aside from that, you should visit a PT to work on stretches to relieve hip, back and other joint pain -- it makes a real difference. Two solutions for same problem are often more successful.
Hi marye2, My husband has had horrible 24/7 headache pain (which the Mayo Clinic diagnosed as New Daily Persistent Headache) for 20 years. NOTHING has relieved the pain. I finally ordered some CBD oil last week from a company recommended by a co-worker of mine. My husband started trying it two days ago and, of course, hasn't felt any relief yet. We are telling ourselves that it might take a few weeks before he notices any relief, so I was glad to read your comment that it took you about two weeks to see the effects. He started taking .5 MG first and may ramp up as needed. You mentioned that 5 mg is where to start. That seems like a lot to start. Did you mean .5 mg by chance? Thanks in advance for your assistance.
Thank you for sharing.
I think it is .5
The edibles say 5mg (1/2 of a piece) My dropper for the tincture says 5, but I start with 10. In an hour or so, if I need more, I add part of an edible. It depends on your tolerance. Leafy is a good site, but it is trial and error to see what works. I like the CBD that has a bit of THC in it, not the other. I have a medical marijuana card.
@marye2 I started using cbd capsules by Vytalyze the one Dr Oz and Dr Phil talk about so far it really works
