Nighttime urination mishaps
My husband had TORS surgery for throat cancer in January. He is very weak from some hospitalizations for pneumonia and now radiation. Caregivers I hire at night sometimes doze off and he forgets to use the urinal and gets up before they hear him. He can't get to the bathroom in time so they are having to clean him and the floors. Has anyone had experience with Depends or adult pull ups to help with this? Thanks for any suggestions.

Yes, I used them during my treatment . The most frustrating part was finding the right ones, in stock at Walmart. Once I did I used the drive up pickup because there are so many options on the crowded shelves I could never find the ones I wanted even though they had them! My advice is go with the briefs. The pads will shift and not stay in the right spot. Once you find the ones that work they may be cheaper on Amazon. Good luck to you and your husband.
I found some on Amazon...more like pull ups or briefs and we'll try them. Thank you!
A nurse recommended condom catheters. You can get them online at Amazon but my doctor was able to get them through Medicare. They help!!
I had skin and bone transplant in May 23. Now I have a heavy boot with a vac box and hose attatched. At night, I can't make it to the washroom by the time i lift leg and unplug vac to get out of bed, so I tried incontinent brief (pullups). Found the Tena brand true to fit, but Depends a smaller make. They really serve the purpose.
Just be careful. My husband tried them since it meant he didn't gave to get up at night. We ended up with the largest size but somehow they irritated his penis and he had to stop using them and go back to pull upstairs. His Dr. prescribed a fungal ointment.
