Erectile dysfunction (ED) treatments: What works for you?
I've been seeing a urologist for a couple of years. The reason for my first appointment was mostly about urinary urgency and frequency. Oxybutinin has reduced the frequency, but not the urgency. At my last appointment, last week, we focused more on ED.
He listed 4 options for treatment. #1 was Viagra and its siblings. Done that and they quit working. #2 was a pump, which I tried. It's great for masturbation, but a real mood killer when used during intimacy with my wife. Even so, part of ED is the inability to maintain an erection. #3 is injecting a drug into the penis. Doesn't that sound like fun? But I know that it works for lots of men. That leads to #4, a penile implant. An implant has the highest success and satisfaction rate.
I'd like to hear what has worked best. I can read the articles online, but I'd rather hear about what your experiences have been.

I am about to try Trimix, just purchased it today and put it in the Freezer when I try it out I will have to take it out of the Freezer and put in my Refrigerator for a couple of hours then after that inject it!
I hope it works, I have not had intercourse the proper way since my Bladder cancer went into remission in 2005, tried Cialis and Viagra but they did nothing to help me get an erection!
So I am hoping I can get my manhood back!

1 Reaction@cliff17 - two questions. (1) when you were prescribed tri-mix, did the doctor test its effectiveness on you? You should already know if it works for you and what dosage to use. (2) why would you put it in the freezer? I have used tri-mix for years and always just refrigerate it and that has kept the mixture potent way past the so-called expiration date.
I did the pills worked for a while till they didn't .. Tried the pump got me an erection maintained with a ring ...awkward to do and limited time to use it plus made my penis cold. Did a sonogram they said I had venous leakage prescribed the shots for me ..did all the different does never got more than a chubby ... 2023 was implanted with a Rigicon mallabble implant ... simple surgery ...erect all the time ... folds 135 degrees easy to conceal .. the implants with the pumps are ok also but prone to issues after a few year. I had the penile implant 20 years ago and it is the way to go. My doctor told me it would be good for about 15 years and he was right. I recommend it.
On a scale of 1-10 for hardness and time .. how do you rate the results ??
I had a Rigicon malleable penile implant last year. Mean it is erect all the time but bend 135 degrees downward in order to conceal it. It is a 10 on the hardness scale and since there are no moving parts per say it will more than likely out last me at my age..

I’m curious why you and others chose the Rigicon vs the pump style? Does one get harder? I guess I'm concerned about having a constant erection.

My dr. chose Rigicon for me based on my age 69 and my health issues. I bends about 135 degrees downwards so it is easy to conceal. As far as you looking like you are erect all the time folded down just looks like you have a chubby flaccid penis not really an erection. I have the old man belly and fat pad so it is even easier to hide it. The 3 piece implants are what most drs push on their patients offering no other choices. They are higher risk of infection and failure than a mallabble implant.My dr. is the largest mallabble implanter in the whole country and he only does about 50 or so a year compared to 100's of the inflatable ones. A source for good implant information is a site call franktalk, become a member a site for and about men and implants. Look up a member called thedriver he had 4 failed inflatable implants, had to argue with his dr to get him to put in a mallabble. He has now had it about 5 months or so and he and his wife are quite active using the implant he is a good source for information. If you have any other questions feel free to private message me.
