I was under the impression I didn't need to see a Doctor for CBD. Are you sure we are talking about the same thing? CBD is legal in all states.
“CBD is legal in all 50 states.” Purveyors of imported, CBD-infused hemp oil claim it’s legal to market their wares anywhere in the United States as long as the oil contains less than 0.3 percent THC. Actually, it’s not so simple. Federal law prohibits U.S. farmers from growing hemp as a commercial crop, but the sale of imported, low-THC, industrial hemp products is permitted in the United States as long as these products are derived from the seed or stalk of the plant, not from the leaves and flowers. Here’s the catch: Cannabidiol can’t be pressed or extracted from hempseed. CBD can be extracted from the flower, leaves, and, only to a very minor extent, from the stalk of the hemp plant. Hemp oil start-ups lack credibility when they say their CBD comes from hempseed and stalk. Congress may soon vote to exempt industrial hemp and CBD from the definition of marijuana under the Controlled Substances Act. Such legislation would not be necessary if CBD derived from foreign-grown hemp was already legal throughout the United States."
I hope this helps.
It's probably a bit different here than in the US. If you want to try cannabis in any form for your health condition you need your doctor to sign some fancy government paperwork. It then goes to Health Canada and if you are approved, you receive a license to purchase. You then take that license to a dispensary (they are popping up all over in bigger cities!) and you get a list of the different types available. Some are more suited to appetite stimulation, sleep etc. Some are better suited for pain management. You can get either buds for vaping, or oil. The oil is more suited for pain but you are not limited to only that. It is a strange experience to walk into a store that has a whole lot of weed in it! The oil here is made strictly from the flowers. The thc and CBD in the manufactured oils purchased from a licensed dispensery in Canada are much much higher than the CBD oil that is "legal" in all 50 states. An example: Hybrid Blue oil, THC 9.7mg/ml CBD 14.2mg/ml.
ok I am a little confused, are you say that the CBD sold in Canada is stronger than that sold in the USA ? And are you saying that the CBD you get there has THC in it? I thought if you got the CBD here in the US it doesn't have any THC in it. I don't want any THC in it and if it has it, then I have to rethink using the CBD. thank you for the information, if you could just clarify those few things for me.. also can US citizen order CBD from Canada?
I am Canadian. The CBD oil that is legal in all states is almost THC free (0.3% is all that is allowed in pot free states). The catch is that CBD and THC work best together. I think you bought exactly what you were looking for, if you want no THC. The legalized Cannabis oil sold from Canadian dispensaries are much stronger than the CBD oil you can purchase without a prescription online. It's unfortunate that there is so much research one has to put in just to get pain relief. It really is insane and I often feel that it is confusing. You almost need a PhD just to make the pain stop! There really haven't been many long term or thorough studies done on medicinal marijuana so we are all kind of grasping at straws. I think what worries me about non-regulated things like the oil you buy on line is that you really don't know if it has anything beneficial in it. There is no guarantee. Supplements bother me just as much. Talking to your physician is definitely the thing to do before adding anything new to your treatment. I know you know that though. 🙂 I'm looking forward to hearing how it worked for you! I have tried the dispensery CBD oil and I have yet to find anything that comes close.
Must get o.k.from a doc that will issue you a license to buy for one year. Take that to the shops and discuss with them which product would me most helpful for you. You can smoke, eat or sublingual tintures.
Thank you for getting back to me and getting me straight on that. I got my bottle of CBD oil, the directions are to take a full dropper under the tongue and leave for 60 to 90 seconds, swallow the remaining. Ok I tasted it and I can't think of anything to compare it to, lets just say it tasted terrible and I knew there was no way I could put that oil under my tongue, leave it there and swallow what;s left. Just no way, no no way, absolutely not, no way. lol ( funny but true) I also understand you can also put it in food. So okay, all I needed to do was find something to put it in, very simple right ? Well, I thought so too. It seems oil especially GREEN oil, doesn't like to be mixed with food of any kind what so ever. Then I tried it with Vanilla pudding, I put the oil in a little hole in the pudding, put the pudding with the oil in my mouth and took another bite real fast then took a big drink of soda and low and behold it went down without any problems. So now how is it working for me? I am not sure yet, maybe after a few more pudding cups and I'll know but I do think it helped my pain a little but certainly nothing to compare to what I've heard others were experiencing, do you think it was the pudding? teehee. What else can I try? any ideas? and how can I go about getting the CBD you get in Canada ? Maybe next time I order I will try to smoke it. Maybe that will work better.... Anything that you or anyone else can suggest would be very appreciated.. thanks
I have purchased hemp cream for arthritic hands and hemp oil for migraine
from CW Botanicals. I also bought hemp hearts (like chia seeds, but more
protein) from another US company. While legal, there is no guarantee that
you will pass an employer drug test while using any or all of these
products. Trace amounts of THC may show up in your system.
Keep that in mind if your job or doctor/pain clinic/pain contract requires
random drug tests, either urine or hair types. It can be a risk.

Laurie Demit Rusin
I'm happy for you! You will find a way
If your state permits, you see a doc and get an RX ...licensed speciality shops have been set up and most sell reliable products and will help advise you on product and usage.
