Nerve sheath tumor neuroma T1 Nerve brachial plexus
I've had a benign nerve sheath tumour removed from the C8/T1 nerve root in my brachial plexus back in 2008. After noticing recurring symptoms in 2015, an MRI confirmed that the tumour had returned. It has been monitored, and although its growth was initially slow, it has substantially increased in size since September 2023. It now measures 8 cm in diameter, 2 cm larger than the previous tumour removed from the same location in 2008. This growth is causing pressure on the apex of my left lung and leading to various debilitating health issues. I've undergone CT, MRI, and X-ray scans, and I'm currently awaiting the results of a PET scan that was performed yesterday in Vancouver. Unfortunately, the doctors I'm seeing in Canada don't have experience in removing nerve sheath tumours, much less recurrent ones, from the brachial plexus, and the previous surgeon who performed the first resection has long retired. I appreciate your help.
