I have a similar situation and I’m 69 and also live in Florida (St. Pete). How is it going with the Marodyne LiV? Did you purchase a LiV device? I don’t want pharmaceuticals if I can manage without.

I don’t think I’ve ever gotten enough protein in my diet given what I’ve been learning recently about what is necessary for bone health. I am looking for more ways to add more protein during the day and wondering if you can recommend a particular protein powder.

I wish could find someone locally who could be a coach like some of the people I’ve been following on Youtube. I was impressed by Margaret Martin’s recent support of Marodyne. Thank you for any updates and advice you are able to offer. Hang in there! I hope things are going well.

Hi, I don't think I ever did either and read that this was a good brand (meaning fewer impurities) if you can take whey. 1 scoop is 30 g. protein, I've been mixing it with 8 oz milk or plant milk for 400 mg calcium.

I have been using the Marodyne LiV for about a year. I am doing many other things, so I do not know what has helped me. My blood work testing my CTX (bone resorption) improved from 910 in June 2023 to 522 in April 2024. It is still high, but there is significant improvement. I use Transparent Labs Grass-Fed Whey Protein Isolate and am pleased with it. I have been trying to gain "healthy" weight and I am up about 6 pounds, some of which I am sure is muscle. I take supplements and probiotics, too numerous to list. I plan to pretty much continue what I have been doing. My next DEXA is in August. I am hoping for an improvement. I am also looking to find a local facility overing REMS scans. Good luck. (I am not taking any pharmacueticals).

I rely on egg whites (in a carton and powdered) and powdered pea protein isolate. Mild taste.

I can put both in my hot cereal. I can make a veggie bowl in the microwave and then pour egg whites from a carton in to add protein (and then microwave again to cook the whites).

Both powders dissolve easily and can be added to milk or a smoothie to amp up the protein.

You can even amp up the protein of baked goods such as quick breads, muffins and cookies.

I think it is essential to mix these two as pea protein is low on an amino acid and with the egg whites (or perhaps another protein) it is a complete protein.

Otherwise, cottage cheese is high in protein. You can treat it like a dip (BBQ potato chip dip or whatever), top it with fruit, or with a toaster oven, put some on a slice of bread, adding cinnamon and a bit of sugar, and broil it until it bubbles. Of course, you can eat it straight. It gives you calcium and protein.

And of course milk. Check out the NHS reports on whole milk. They find it healthier and better for weight conttrol than non- or low fat milk (and I find whole milk much yummier). Again, calcium and protein.

Hello,

I could not tolerate whey protein powder and some powered protein shake mixes since my gut is on the sensitive side with IBS and Diverticulitis. So I drink a shake that I mix using OIKOS yogurt with 20 g of protein sometimes I substitute almond milk along with banana, papaya, red and black berries and soluble fiber powder I get from a Canadian pharmacy, collagen powder and magnesium glycinate powder. I also take probiotic supplement VSL #3 and calcium supplement that I got from my gynecologist that is medical grade with many essential minerals and vitamins. I also get subcutaneous Testostorne pellets (I can't take estrogen since I had a lumpectomy) and vaginal estrogen as it is not absorbed systematically into the body. I also do
water exercises in our pool, swim laps and walk 4-5 times a week for 30 minutes and meditate 2 times a day. Just an FYI your body can only absorb so much calcium at a time so space out your calcium intake throughout the day.

I have bought Marodyne LIV last year and used it for 14 months, then I made DEXA to see if it helped me. Used Marodyne for 10 minutes every day. Even if I did a lot of walking and training with machines, took calcium, vit.D, vit.K2 and Mg, my scan results worsened. I hoped so much to avoid taking medicines. But my spine T coefficient worsened from -2,5 to 3.
I do not think that producers can claim that the device helps!
