Penile Implant after prostate cancer surgery: Advice appreciated

Posted by jw1 @jw1, Aug 29, 2023

I am fixing to get a penile implant any advise, would be appreciated. Pain level, rehab time. If you had one done, would you, do it again? I am getting the Coloplast Titan 3/piece inflatable. Cancer survivor from prostrate removal approx. 1 1/2 years. I have tried the pills and injections & nothing works.

Hi @tuxceda21, I moved your question about penile implants and orgasm to this existing discussion:

I did this so you can connect with other men with prostate cancer who have had a penile implant.

A penile implant shouldn't affect your ability to ejaculate and orgasm. It may take you a few weeks or even a couple of months to adjust. Have you discussed the loss of orgasm with the surgeon?

I should start at the beginning: Radical Prostatectomy Jan 2018 at the age of 69. Positive margins on examination, rising PSA. 33 shots of external beam radiation at 2 grey each in August and Sept 2018. PSA was now undetectable. Used Vacuum device, trimix injections but not happy with results though orgasm was present (dry).
Had penile implants (AMS 700) in Oct 2020. This was the best solution I tried and had satisfactory orgasm. In the last year the orgasm response has weakened to the point of being nonexistent. Does anyone have a comment or suggestion?

I had a robo assisted prostatectomy about 3 years ago. Non cancerous, 93% of prostate was removed. Doctors told me I would no longer have ejaculations. I assumed that was always the case so I did not object. Now after hearing different stories I regret my ignorance. But “that ship sailed “. Now in December 2023 I had the AMES 700 implant and we are thrill. Been married 55 years and we are loving and making love. The implant was my birthday present, I turned 80 on November 11, 2023!
Good wishes and God bless you my brother.
