I had my done about 12 years ago lost track lol…. I still deal with gas I take gas x it helps tremendously… I went to gastroenterologist nothing is wrong …. I just learned to live with it …. Not saying yours will not go away everyone is different…. But I read some of other side affects I will take mine lol …. I do stay away from gassy foods now …. They tend to cause gas attacks I call them ….. some are so painful I take Motrin for pain and cause stomach pain for days ….. have not had an attack since stopped all gassy foods … good luck hope yours gets better … but I have kept my weight off and I feel good the gas I deal with it …..

Hi, I just wanted to mention that you might want to check with your bariatric doctor about taking Motrin. It is an non steroidal anti inflammatory and can cause problems in the stomach, usually ulcers, when taken after surgery because we have scar tissue and are more predisposed to it. The Motrin may be adding to your problems. My surgeon was against NSAID use after surgery. The first 6 months they were not allowed at all, and after only in exceptional circumstances and taken with an anti acid like Prevacid. But he preferred not using it. You may already know this but I thought I'd mention it in case it never came up with your surgeon. I asked because I have arthritis that was being treated with the NSAID Celebrex.
