Hi
Recently diagnosed with HR positive HER2 negative breast cancer discussion regarding going on a AI or tamoxifen. If I have had a TIA and I have osteopenia with 1 compression fracture, I do not feel safe going on any of these medications has anyone on here had similar health history and done these medications or what are your thoughts

I had to help my Mom take care of my father, who was dying of terminal liver cancer and also had bad Alzheimer's, back in 1985. Worst year of my life. I call it the year of the B's because I published my first book, started a new business (Sylvan Learning Center #3301) and buried my dad. You have my sympathy.
I did not feel "right" on Tamoxifen for the 5 months I was on it. I felt dry, itchy, and had an urgency to urinate, the fatigue was excessive and reduced my day to only 3 hours that I could be awake at a time. And then the UTIs began. I did not have any nausea, but I never felt "normal" or "right" on either Anastrozole or Tamoxifen.
Thanks for the tip about d-mannose.
I have shoved thoughts of a recurrence into the very farthest recesses of my brain, and I am continuing to monitor my condition with both my Iowa and my Texas oncologist(s).
Hi
Wow that was a lot for sure. Don't you wonder why sometimes your life becomes a shitstorm and you have friends who never ever have gone through trauma. I have had a lot of it. You can purchase d-mannose on Amazon if you can't find it locally. But most health food stores carry it. Also get on a good probiotic. I took the D Mannise for 4 mths 2000mg a day. I am now off it. Seeing my naturopath path in 2 weeks to see if i should stay on a maintenance dose of 500mg a day. I also take utiva cranberry pac you can buy it on Amazon. I take 1 every morning with my probiotic. My pharmacy orders my utiva cranberry can't purchase in a store. Thks for sharing. Wishing you continued good health.
