Peter Attia MD interviewed Rachel Rubin MD on his podcast (5/12/2025). Episode #348 about HRT. It is very well done and spells out the current options, risks and benefits. I highly recommend listening to it. She references Transitions Pharmacy as a source for discounted HRT.
I was diagnosed with breast cancer (Her2+, Hormone negative) in 2021 at 65. I had been on transdermal estrogen/progesterone for 10years prior. I stopped HRT, had 6 cycles of chemo, bilateral Mastectomy, radiation and more chem to complete 1 year treatment. I was fortunate to have complete pathologic response and had no recurrence. Going off HRT threw me into hot flashes, night sweats, brain fog, joint stiffness, not to mention feeling depleted from chemo. At this point I want to resume HRT and have been given the OK by my oncologist and gyn. I will be starting with a lower dose estrogen/progesterone patch, and vaginal “ring” that delivers continuous dose of estrogen to those tissues, getting replaced every 3 months. I am able to purchase the ring for $180 via the online Transitions pharmacy HRT club, free shipping. Will be adding transdermal testosterone. I hope this interview will shed some light for those seeking answers.
