I just started having night sweats in the last 10 days. I had night sweats when i went through menopause over 10 years ago. I have no new medications. I started using a CPAP machine 3 months ago. Take Zoloft that i have been taking for over 20 years. I am back on steroid and anti inflammatory eye drops for uveitis. I taKe B12 and vitamin c daily. Any suggestions for which blood tests i should request my PCP to order?

Hi @walk4life. It will help your PCP if you make a note of your symptoms and when they started. Did your night sweats coincide with your return to the steroids and anti inflammatory eye drops?

Your doctor will ask questions about your health and about any changes in meds. They may ask if you have any other symptoms such as chills or fever, unexpected weight loss, ask about your caffeine or alcohol intake, etc.. After an exam your doctor will get a little better idea of what informative blood tests to order for you. Usually a basic CBC with differential would be a good place to start. They may also include other tests such as thyroid function test and glucose levels. I know it can be disconcerting to have night sweats but sometimes it’s nothing more than the bedroom being too hot as season’s change. Hope you get to the bottom of this. Will you let me know what you find out, please? Stay cool! 😉
