Scoliosis and Chronic back pain
I am a 59 year old female. I have scoliosis which is causing a great deal of pain. I don't want to go on narcotics if I don't have to. What do others do with this problem?

when i was at mayo a few years ago for surgery on a kidney stone (probably a lot of us here have had their kidney squeezed into the middle of their gut), one of the surgeons remarked "you certainly have a twisted sacroiliac." i thought it was just an idle remark. i went to my primary about lower back pain a few months ago and he insisted i go to his chiropractor. who said that the pain might be caused by a twisted sacroiliac. you stand against a table and it rotates. then he taps me on the back and the table goes thunk. it is hard to believe anything is happening, but the results are miraculous, my sciatic nerve has moved from under my sit bones so that i can sit for hours and my pain meds are cut in half
Good evening @grateful2020 Welcome to Connect. Your request for help indicates that you are very frustrated and anxious about your health. I am happy to tag some of the other members and mentors who might be able to help with a similar background. I think it will be helpful if you could tell a little more about your story. How long have you known about the diagnosis of scoliosis? What treatments or medications are you using to try and control your pain?
I also have one leg that is longer than the other and one arm that is 2 inches longer than the other one. It can be limiting and result in additional problems as you mentioned. What is causing you to cry in pain? I am right here for you and will also be here tomorrow for you. In the meantime have a restful sleep. Chris
