This is very encouraging. Thank you for sharing this.
I have heard that, not only is bone loss lessened, but estrogen is cardio-protective as well. I went through menopause about a decade ago and am dealing with cardiovascular issues, bone loss issues, and other issues I would like to improve. But I, too, am getting the "But you're going to get cancer!" responses from doctors.
Well, that's amazing that they prescribed that for you at 65. Wow. Am assuming the cream is estrodial but you didn't specify. How is your bone density since starting? Let us know!
Did your PCP prescribe, or did you go to an endocrinologist? I am in that same timeline, 65 now, 15 years post menopause. I want to prevent bone loss.
Have you seen any improvement with bone density scores? What difference have you noticed when you say you feel better? Moods? Joint pain? Where have you seen improvement?
Thank you

I’m 75 and in good health even after a mitral valve repair and a pacemaker implant. I am just over the border in osteoporosis, had a REMs scan too. My bone quality isn’t as great as I had hoped.
Just did a 24 hour urine collection and blood work . Endo told me to hold upon calcium until we meet.
I’m resisting meds currently. Doing much research. Exercising daily….
50 +Squats, long walks with jogging, hopping on one foot, Pilates, yoga, swim in warmer weather, cutting back on sugar .
I took Evista many years ago. There is breast cancer history on my mom’s side including her. The Evista Serm did fend off bone loss for many years. I’d like to revisit it if I’m allowed.
I will ask my endo if I can follow your path with the topical cream and progesterone capsule.
Thank you
