No, the hospital isn't the most restful place I would encourage anyone who is is in that position to stay as long as possible. I lived alone and had nearly lost my arm, so it was challenging to try and take care of myself as I had no mobility in my right hand. I was later given a wound vac machine and it was so hard to keep that thing clean and running. It always needed attention in the middle of the night! I will take Eliquis, or some other blood thinner for the rest of my life. I don't think Eliquis is as effective as Coumadin for me because I get very serious blood clots once in a while. I had a saddle pulmonary embolism two years ago. Take your meds and live as healthy as you possibly can, your condition is always going to be there...
