Thank you for your replies! As it turns out, I was not reading my appointment instructions carefully. Can you imagine that? after 15 years!
Anyway, the general instructions stated that 'some patients will need to follow dietary restrictions". When I made a phone call to inquire, I learned that MY specific instructions would be listed on my daily appointment plan. To my surprise, I was able to grab a light snack during my break before my ultrasound! This is yet another example of how we each have similarities and differences!
I am now home after my annual evaluation in Rochester. I am thrilled to know that my liver and kidney remain happy. As I begin another year of blessing with these beautiful organs, I am looking forward to healing from a wrist fracture and returning to my sewing, violin, and hiking with my hiking poles! Oh, and also looking forward to 2-handed keyboarding 😉

I am looking forward to hearing your updates. Anybody have anything - question or news - to share?

Congratulations 🎉👏. Wow you are one active young lady. I'm so happy to hear that your liver and kidneys are doing so well. My new liver is doing amazing. My kidneys however are another story. They really took a wallop during my pre-transplant struggles and unfortunately have never recovered. So far no dialysis, so that's a win. Thank you for listening. 💚
