Would you get a second opinion? Twitches and spasms

Hello!
I am a 40 year old female. In September I woke up one day with a sore left calf. I don’t work out and hadn’t slept funny. So that was strange but I let it be. It stayed. I told my doctor after it didn’t leave for 8 weeks and was painful and annoying. I waited 8 more weeks for a referral to a neurologist (the pain still present, along with cramping).

The neurologist spent 10 minutes with me. Checked a reflex on my knees and under my feet. Asked me what I was worried about. I told him a neurological disease with motor neuron issues. He laughed and said “no you don’t have als”. I asked him how he knew and he said “because of how you walked in here and how you are seated”. Then he said it was anxiety.

5 months after my initial cramping in my calf (which has continued) it has also climbed into my quad and groin and is incredibly painful. I have seen a chiro, physical therapist and massage therapist and they all say my muscles are incredibly tight on my left leg.

But…as of a month ago my left bicep also started to hurt and now I have a tremor in that arm. When at rest it’s not there but it is if I put my hands out. It is a visible tremor and my bicep muscle is a hard rock. I have done dry needling, massage and cupping and nothing helps.

This is all happening on my left side and I’m starting to get worried. It’s affected my gait, my sleep, my mental health (I’m becoming anxious) and my quality of life. I’m annoyed my neurologist didn’t do a single test other than his initial assessment. Should I ask for a follow up? My legs burn from being so tight and cramping and the arm shaking is worrying me as well.

Get a 2nd 3rd or4th opinion . After a failed back surgery I was told there’s no pinched nerves everything’s healed and don’t recommend having anymore surgeries. Now my outer thighs are numb, inner left thigh is very tender and the pain radiates to the testicles and anus. Now I have nerve pain stinging by my left hip , above left knee and about 6” above knee and outer thigh halfway down, then woke up with painful tender spot above the inside ankle of my left foot. Nerves were stinging all over left leg last night then another hit my right leg by the groin area and I turned to set down and fell. Do you think if the surgeon would have got me out of the wheelchair and looked at my back he would have new I was in pain around the tailbone( by the way that was the 4th visit he never got me out of the wheelchair) . I’m seeing a pelvic therapist who says my tailbone is out of alignment.

I’m going the 24th to see a doctor at another office. I’ve already seen 2 others. I was amazed at that hospital it was more like a hotel 1 nurse for 2 patients and I was her only patient . His nurse was wonderful it’s just his manners I fixed my part and oh well about any new symptoms

Thanks! I’m not if it tears every nerve in my leg I still push on . My pain doctor wouldn’t install a pain stimulator because he felt like there is still something wrong, and the sad part is he referred me to that surgeon. That surgeon had done Payton Mannings back surgery . Apparently my insurances money wasn’t good enough for him . I met my out of pocket before the surgery so I didn’t have to pay anything from Mid March until the beginning of January

@robs4848 I hope you’re seeking a second opinion from a large teaching hospital? Your symptoms sound a little baffling diagnostically and the more heads you have considering your symptoms the better.
