Loss of smell & taste

I loss my ability to taste and smell over 3 years ago. This was during a bout with COVID. Anyone else this lengthy? I recently had a C scan, which showed inflammation. Prednisone was prescribed, but didn't help. Also had allergy testing done - again without results.

How does Nicotine gum make you feel?

Yes, I have lost my taste and smell since November 2020. I thought it would come back, but not yet!

I lost my taste and smell due to Covid in December of 2022. I have had 3 Stellate Ganglion Block injections and have gotten a slight improvement, meaning that I can taste salty, sweet, bitter more, but not actual flavors. I’m having a 4th one done in a few weeks. I feel your pain and do hope you’re searching for answers. I also have several food sensitivities and can’t eat certain foods due to having 18’ of my colon resected in April of 2022. I have a colon like a baby, very sensitive. No gluten, dairy or soy for me. If you haven’t already, I would contact your hospitals pain management clinic and look into the Stellate Ganglion Block injections. It’s lidocaine that is injected into your ganglion nerves in the base of your neck. It’s worth a try rather than being bored by food the rest of my life. Good luck!
