@lioness I am so happy that you are getting some relief. The endless number of adjustments that must be possible will allow you to find just what you need on any particular night.
Only thing I know is heat or ice Make sure you're staying hydrated stretching walking warm bath maybe with some Epson salt. If they continue go to the dr and find out why you are having them. I'm sorry I'm not much help . But I hope you can get them under control. 🙂
Yes, mustard is an old remedy in this country So glad it has worked for you!
Hi james2189, you are spot on. I have found that in my situation, tons of good water are a necessity for those of us with any chronic illness.
We must be careful, however because with all the intake of fluid, we have to be careful of our electrolytes. My blood pressure meds, for example, have a diuretic in it.
So, while I definitely take my 8 to 10 glasses per day, I make sure I also take my PCP approved supplements so I won't flush out my Potassium and other important minerals.
Kudos to you, sir, for excellent self care and helping others in the process!
Blessings!
Mamacita

@kauaimac Have to try it in new bed before I was so restless it fell on floor!lol
A Homeopathic remedy called "Leg Cramps" and its sister product "Leg Cramps PM" work great for me -- available at Walgreens, Walmart, King Sooper (in Colorado) and probably lots of other chain markets....
Hi @gkleiner1. Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. Thanks for sharing what works for you- that's helpful information. I wonder if this is something safe for kids to use?
@ladybugmg I think I may have to buy some Irish Sping! I don’t often have cramps now but when I did they were so horrible that I wish I knew about this. I wonder if it works on the cramps from cirrhosis.
