Sorry for this late reply. I had the surgery a year and half ago and after a lengthy recovery period it has improved my breathing by tons especially at night. I have to clear mucus in my throat a lot and blow my nose a lot, but overall it is much better.

Did you have other issues besides a deviated septum?
Seems like sinus or allergy involvement would cause the throat clearing and blowing nose. Did you have a turbinate reduction as well? Or just septoplasty?

Very glad and good to hear that you are breathing much better. Thanks for sharing your experience, that also seems to confirm that more time may be needed before enjoying the full benefits
