I haven't been on pregabalin but have taken gabapentin for 2 weeks prior to being diagnosed and prescribed by my primary care doctor. I stopped it cold turkey but I don't think I was on it long enough to get dependent. I stopped just because it wasn't helping my numbness at all and after my PCP had a quick discussion with her doctor team and asked me a few questions, they told me it only works for pain and doesn't help with numbness symptoms.

I wonder if @cdcc, @sandytoes14, @texasduchess or other members might have some experience or suggestions for you for tapering off pregabalin (or lyrica)? Here are a few links that may be helpful until we hear from other members who have experience tapering off.
