My Resmed machine detects when one shuts the machine off/turns it on, not when I physically get up.
You might be inadvertently/unintentionally shutting it off/turning it on.
I have mine located such that I can't turn it off without a conscious effort to do so.

No because I slept straight though for 6 hours. I got up once to go to the bathroom. That’s when I noticed my app said 3 times. When I turn on the machine and check my app already says one time.
