Has anyone taken MSM supplements and has it helped?
On a different discussion board for scleroderma, a discussion of MSM supplement has come up, but no comments on its effectiveness. Has anyone here tried it and has it helped?

i have been doing so for the past 30 years, I am 60 years old ..NO HEALTH PROBLEM .
It is always one of the suppliments that I give my older, arthritic horses and dogs. They seem to benefit from it.
Hubby and I use topical DMSO (MSM is a derivative of DMSO) to freshly cleaned skin for muscle/joint pain. It absorbs quickly and deeply so we always make sure the skin is clean before applying as it will take other chemicals on your skin deeply into the skin as well. It does wonders for strong arthritis pain in the joints.
If you decide to use DMSO, make sure to get the purest version you can find. And if you take DMSO or MSM orally, make sure to watch carefully for liver or kidney damage. Here is some additional info for you:
