New patient consult questions

I have a consult appointment scheduled on Wednesday with a neurosurgeon and I am not certain what to expect. They have my recent imaging studies. Would they order same day diagnostic studies, if needed? Would they see me if they don't think they can help with my condition? How long of an appointment time should I expect? Thanks!

All this information is helpful. I didn't have much information before my operation. The orthopedic surgeon gave me two choices--stay on opioids for the rest of my life or the operation with no guarantees. That was just over a year ago. I am off the opioids. And it looks like I might be able to control the pain with just one Tylenol Extra strength.

i have to admit, i'm getting a little tired of being in pain. The most frustrating part is I am not sure what helps.

I have not been given any instructions as to what exercises I should do. I happened onto a YouTube program outling three exercises and the admonition to not twist.
