Trimix injection good or bad idea?

Posted by jasonfarmer @jasonfarmer, Sep 17, 2023

59 years old. prostatectomy just over 3 months ago. Take daily 5mg tadalafil or 100mg sildenafil before intercourse . Successful only 2 times without vac pump. I am considering Trimix injections just not sure when or if I should. I would appreciate some insight from men who have used and when they started. No other treatments for cancer needed. Presently cancer free. 0 psa 2 blood test so far. I am thankful for what I have just want the best I can achieve. Thank you for any shared experiences good or bad.

you're on the right path my brother. I had surgery 3 years ago ( 3+4=7 Gleason ) and a PSA of 4.2 . No other cancer present from biopsy tissues and so on. Dr said 0% cancer cells found outside of Prostate despite a small 2mm breach that Dr's said it appeared just happened . The operation Did not hold 100% so PSA started to rise up to 0.14 . So I had EBRT , 22 sessions and no ADT or anything . Its has now been a year . PSA went from 0.14 to 0.11 now at PSA 0.072 . Feeling good and zero urine issues. BUT erections are still a problem , however getting better . Vacuum pump seems to be working . I tried TriMix , worked well , but I have a needle phobia . I think your ED will be MUCH better over time. Its only been 3 months post operation for you . You will be fine . keep learning and give it some time . Keep the walking and exercise up !

That's for certain. I'm actually going to decrease the dose to about .07 in that my orgasms are somewhat restricted from too much engorgement. There's got to be a perfect balance that I hope to find otherwise Trimix provides a very firm erection but a less desirable orgasm.

Have you considered using Trimix Gel inserted into the urethra, no needles.

The Trimix gel is something I would like to know more about. Would appreciate any comments from users or previous users.

I have heard about it , but have not used it . I wonder if it's available in Canada ? Have you used it ? Anyone use it ? Thanks .... James

I have never used it since I don't mind the injections.
I read it's less effective, equally and more effective than the injections. I haven't wanted to use it in case it wasn't as effective since I already use 50 units and that doesn't always produce an erection.
It is available in Canada.

Thanks for this discussion, it has helped me seek out and begin to use Trimix for my ED problems. I am 63 and have not have prostate cancer but have had ED for years. Sildenafil has worked but slowly it became hit and miss, even with going to the 100 mg dose. Trimix is wonderful, it's been a while since I was firm enough for penetration. And yes, my wife is happy too. However, I've found that it takes an aggressive amount of stimulation to ejaculate. I'm just starting out and should be happy with the results but wondered if anyone has experienced this and if there are any remedies.
