I had to google this. Interesting! I hope it works out well for you. I assume it's still in clinical trials.
For others wondering, my understanding is that based on a high-quality mpMRI and subsequent guided biopsy, one (or perhaps more?) node is identified as of concern and needles are inserted, guided by ultrasound based on the mpMRI map, so that the node can be ablated (neutralized, killed) using a pulsed electrical current travelling between the needles.
So it's a form of ablation (localized killing) using high voltage electrical pulses that kill the cells without burning them.
54 and diagnosed 2 weeks ago
Diagnosed at 56 years old. Originally 4+3, however after operation the biopsy showed 3+4. He'd operation three years ago and PSA it was a 4.1 .After operation PSA went down to 0.07 and slowly started to glide up to 0.14 PSA . Had 22 sessions of external beam radiation with no chemicals or hormones and the last three PSA counts were 0.14, 0.11, 0.072, so the trend is downwards. All doctors are very positive about my outcome. It does appear that external beam radiation takes a while to act especially at the lower red frequency and only 22 sessions. Does everybody else generally agree with these findings? It's been a year since my radiation and it's only starting to be very impactful at this point. Anyway, God bless and I'm here to help with any questions you may have about my experience. James - Vancouver Island , BC
Diagnosed at 62 in February this year. Gleason 6. Genomic testing should not too aggressive. Surveillance for now but strongly considering RP.
38ds. I got 28 RT shots. I don’t know how they figure out how many shots of RDition to give?
